All cinema halls in the country will open on Saturday, June 27, the Film Exhibitors Association said today.
FEA President Anuradha B. Rekawa said the Health Ministry has given the greenlight following proposals made by them during a series of meetings.
They are now awaiting Health Ministry guidelines to start film screenings from Saturday. (RU)

By using the armed forces intelligently Sri Lanka has done extremely well in handling the covid-19, much better than America or Western Europe. But the approval to open the cinemas being given by the Health Ministry which relies on the doctors for advice, is very risky and could trigger a new wave of virus spread. The doctors are scientifically clueless to give any proper advice.
