UPFA MP Dinesh Gunawardene yesterday called for a change in the composition of Constitutional Council in order to maintain its independence.
“The composition of the CC should be changed in order to maintain its independence and avoid crisis situations,” he said. “There were issues pertaining to the appointment of the IGP and the Attorney General. These issues can be avoided if the composition of the CC is changed.”
The MP said the CC was rejecting those who are opposed to it when such persons are appointed to various posts.
UPFA MP Dallas Alhaperuma said the Opposition Leader Mahinda Rajapaksa should be allowed to nominate members to the CC as laid down in the Constitution. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)

our stupid, corrupt ignoramus MPs, the worthless senaa worms, are obsessed with CCs, constitutions, standing orders, elections, vote etc while they should be more concentrated on solving day to day problems of the common man.
