The Army has launched a special investigation to identify a person on a video clip showing a suspected military member watching a group of violent saboteurs in Thunmodara.
Military Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu said that attention had been drawn to the video clip, where a person dressed in uniform similar to that of the Army, was watching on without taking any preventive action against a group of violent saboteurs.
The Army had requested the general public to help them to trace the person for necessary action.
If the inquiry confirmed that the person in question was an Army member, the Army would take disciplinary action against him, the Army said.
The public is requested to inform Special Investigation Unit of Corps of Military Police through 0112514280 if they possess any information to this effect, the Army said.

They should inform the place and time to take action. May be an old clip too.

The army has not been spectators to the violence. They have actively encouraged, aided and abetted the mobs to perpetrate violence. Same story in Kuliyapitiya, Minuwangoda, Digana, Aluthgama
