Video: Eight ex-LTTE detainees released

Another eight ex-LTTE detainees were released under strict bail conditions by Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Artigala today.

They were released on two surety bails of Rs.1 million each and were ordered to report to the TID every other Sunday. (Shehan Chamika)

    Most of them were detained for more than 10years without trial. even the bail conditions of new gov are extremely strict

    Whats going on now? why not government release all the other inmates in all the prisons irrespective of their nationality.

    If MS and RW are working in good faith, ALL the so called political prisoners should be released.The prisons should be back filled with pakse mafia clan and given the same /worse treatment than what was rendered to Tamil political prisoners.
