Janaka Bandara remanded

UPFA MP Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, who was arrested yesterday in connection with a murder in 1999, was remanded till October 20 by the Colombo Chief Magistrate today.

The Magistrate visited the hospital where Tenakoon was undergoing retreatment, to inspect his condition prior to ordering him to be remanded.

Tennakoon was arrested by the CID while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Colombo. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
