Good move. Showing good governance to the world, all are equal, no discrimination. Then, they cannot ask for separation. All blessings to Sri Lanka Island from Nature or Akanita Bambalova or Heaven or the universal controlling body for Karmaya.

Very good move by the current leaders. Six parties in Parliament. Two in opposition. TNA has more MPs than JVP. Hope TNA will use this position not to irritate racist elements in the south, but to develop living standards in north

Those who do not like to change attitudes, to live as Sri Lankans get together, Please see the film MahaRaja Ajasath and identify the difference between Good and Bad, then what happen to people with bad ideas and try to change your conscience. Be careful, if you do not change, you have to suffer at the end.

It is good to see equity prevails. However TNA should not over use this given opportunity by passing resolutions against the majority will. They should learn how to see all the races than one eye on tamil issues. Best to resolve issues through dialogue. KADMIN

Declaring leader of the biggest opposition party which is not part of ruling coalition is the absolutely correct and democratic. It does not matter which party has how many seats, what matters while deciding the Opposition Party Leader position is which is largest opposing party to the Govt. Some of the claims from UPFA for Opp Leader post is irrelevant and baseless as long as they are part of National Govt. If they want Opp Leader position either they should come out of national Govt. or by split of UPFA and the separate group to be called by any other name and should have more MPs than TNA. Sri Lanka got an opportunity to prove democratic credentials and they should stick to it. While congratulating Sampathan, he should remember that now he is the Opp Leader of Sri Lanka not the leader of the Northern part consisting Tamil Areas. He should bring the attention of the Govt in power towards all the issues of the people of unified one great nation, called Sri Lanka.
