Baurs welcomed the visit from Switzerland, of Ambassador Livia Leu, Delegate of the Federal Council for Trade Agreements of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO together with the Switzerland Ambassador to Sri Lanka Heinz Walker-Nederkoorn, Deputy Head of Mission Kurt Meier, Embassy Political, Trade and Press Officer Kanishka Ratnapriya and Swiss-Asian Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka Committee Chairman Mark Dangel.

Baurs is the oldest Swiss company in Sri Lanka and was established in 1897 by Alfred Baur. The company is celebrating his 150th birth anniversary this year and is fully committed to further expand its activities in the country.
