President Maitripala Sirisena assured yesterday that he would not dissolve Parliament until the electoral reforms were enacted, a party leader said yesterday.

Democratic Left Front Leader Vasudeva Nanayakkara, who attended the all party meeting chaired by the President, confirmed this. In addition, he said the party leaders agreed to enact the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, only with the provisions acceptable to all of them.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will make a statement in this respect in Parliament today before its adjournment. (Kelum Bandara)
