Former Deputy Ministers P. Digambaram of the National Workers Union and V. Radhakrishnan of Upcountry People's Front have pledged their support to common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena.
The two former deputy ministers made this announcement at a news briefing being held at the opposition leader’s office in Colombo.
Three Provincial councillors and 14 Pradeshiya Sabha members of the National Workers Union also pledged their support to common opposition candidate while one Provincial councillor of the Upcountry People's Front also joined hands with the common opposition.
