National Freedom Front (NFF) MP Jayantha Samaraweera, who was in remand custody on charges of misusing a vehicle belonging to the Presidential Secretariat causing a loss of Rs. 5 million to the State, was released on bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today.
He was released on a cash bail of Rs. 25,000 with two sureties of Rs.1 million each.
Meanwhile, MP Wimal Weerawansa's brother Sarath, who was remanded in connection with misusing a government vehicle causing a loss of Rs.10.5 million, was remanded till November 7 by the Magistrate. (Shehan Chamika Silva)

Both culprits should have been in the remand as both are crooks and gangsters of Weerawansa.
