Serendib Flour Mills recently extended its support to the Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition as the Silver sponsor of the event for the third consecutive year.
The opening ceremony was held in the presence of Industry and Commerce Minister Rishard Bathiudeen and Primary Industries Minister Daya Gamage and was attended by many high- profile delegates.
The exhibition, organised by the Sri Lanka Food Processors’ Association (SLFPA), was held at the BMICH for the 15th successive year. The Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition is the most comprehensive food, beverage and packaging exhibition that is held in Sri Lanka and was endorsed and supported by the Industry and Commerce Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, National Agribusiness Council, Processed Foods Development Initiative (Pvt.) Ltd and Institute of Food Science & Technology Sri Lanka.
Over the three-day event Serendib Flour Mills stall drew the attention of many participants. Showcasing a wide range of 7 Star very own flour varieties such as All Purpose Wheat Flour, Atta Flour, Wholemeal Flour and Cake Flour and also featured demonstrations on how to make a variety of flour-based products.
The stall provided customers with cooking tips and recipes and it gave them the chance to find out more about the ‘7 Star’ range and sample items made from different varieties of flour.
Commenting on the sponsorship Serendib Flour Mills Head of Marketing and Communications Kalinga Wijesekera stated, “It was a great honour for us to stand as the Silver sponsor for the Pro-Food Pro-Pack Exhibition, which is the largest food, beverage and packaging exhibition in the island, for the third consecutive year. The exhibition not only allowed us to showcase our products, it also enabled us to engage and interact with our valuable customers and gather valuable insights and responses. We shall continue to support this exhibition in the future.”
Serendib Flour Mills is a leading flour mill in Sri Lanka and is a joint venture between Al Ghurair Foods (AGF) and Emirates Trading Agency (ETA).
