A cache of weapons said to belong to the LTTE was unearthed at Palamottei in Omanthai, Police said.
The weapons were found while the owner was clearing the abandoned land with the use of a backhoe.
Thirty light machine guns (LMG) and several Multi-Purpose Machine Guns (MPMG) were among the weapons that were recovered. (Romesh Madushanka)
