Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to make several disclosures on matters related to Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran, sources close to him said yesterday.
Sources said he would make a disclosure on a certain person who had been behind publishing several reports on the Central Bank Governor.
They also said the Prime Minister was to call for explanation form a certain United National Party (UNP) MP who is alleged to have been behind the publishing of reports on the Governor. (Yohan Perera)

Perumal, you are correct his bond scam is also to rescue the country!

Why isn't Ranil, any other politician or the police initiate a transparent investigation to find the truth behind these allegations without sending him home to enjoy the stolen money if that is the case?

I think Mr.Mahendren is a genuine well established economist, but losing him is a unfortunate to the country not for him.

Why worry about who brought out reports, Right for Information! Just say whether contents in reports are true rather than trying to punish who brought them out.
Perumal Monday, 27 June 2016 10:53 AM
Just because there are unproven allegations, why do you want see the back of Governor? Because he is Tamil? or do you fear that he would rescue the economy and deny the JO and MR their power dreams?

So does this put an end to the problem of the Bond scam, or does it add more controversy to it?
Aba Jayasekera Sunday, 26 June 2016 09:35 AM
What's wrong? I am a supporter of the UNP and I also strongly believed that the governor should go.
TJ Sunday, 26 June 2016 08:55 AM
It is better for the PM to disclose whether the allegations are true or not rather than revealing the names of the people behind the campaign against the governor.
Kingsley Wijesinhe Sunday, 26 June 2016 08:12 AM
Quite right. All that matters is whether the reports were correct, not who said it.
Bala Saturday, 25 June 2016 09:37 PM
What is the problem Ranil - if they were factually correct. That is all we need to know.
Vijitha Saturday, 25 June 2016 08:36 PM
At least there's one honest man in UNP
Ranjan Saturday, 25 June 2016 08:35 PM
