The CID today filing a report in the Chief Magistrate’s Court sought to obtain the hard disk that was in use on May 15, 2012 in the CCTV Camera of Parliamentarian Douglas Devananda's Political Office at No.121 Park Road, Colombo 5.
The Murder Investigation Unit of the CID who were conducting investigations into the killing of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen made this request from Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris stating that the hard disk was required by them in their investigations into the killing of Thajudeen.
The CID said they wanted to have the hard disk before March 10 to use during their investigations
The Magistrate ordered Mr. Douglas Devanada to hand the hard disk to the OIC of the Murder Investigation Unit of the CID before March 10.
The case will be taken up for inquiry on March 23. ( T. Farook Thajudeen)
