The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein arrived in Sri Lanka this morning on a four-day official visit.
Following an invitation extended by the Sri Lankan Government, the UNHR Chief arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake with a six-member delegation whom were welcomed by officials of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
During his four-day visit, Prince Zeid is scheduled to meet President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera, other ministers and high-level Government officials. (T.K.G.Kaplia)
