No official song to mark President’s Anniversary: PMD

2016-01-11 09:05:58

President’s Secretary P.B. Abeykoon today said that there was no official song released by the President’s Secretariat or other responsible entities to mark the one year anniversary of democratic governance under the leadership of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Mr. Abeykoon said that a song titled “Nuba Ape Minisek” erroneously claimed that it was the President’s Official Song for 2016.

“This song has been played by some social networking websites without the permission of the President as well as the Presidential Secretariat,” he said.

Thank you for your explanation, I was so disappointed that president M3 was going in the same direction as MR.

I saw this song; President appears in that in person. Why did his media unit allow the production if it has not been sanctioned?Based on this as well as few other embarrassing instances in the past; I suggest the President appoints a new competent media team.
