Name a single country in West Europe or North America where the government sat idly by and permitted demonstrations and occupations on a daily basis with the loud and clear intention to bring the down the government. I am not supporting the corrupt Rajapaksas nor their protector called Ranil, but the sad reality is if the intensity of the demonstrations reach critical mass then Gotta will be expected by India, to use the Police and the Military and crush the agitations comprehensively within 24 hours.

There is no such law, there is no emergency or threats to normal life, except peaceful non violent protests. Hence curfew is invalid and illegal. There is a court order that peaceful demonstrations are allowed and the police cannot impose a police curfew. This is only a gimmick to mislead and create fear and doubt in people.

IF THE COURT SEE IT FIT TO ALLOW PROTESTS, WHY THE HELL IS THE POLICE CONCERNED AND TRYING TO PREVENT. HAS GOTA GONE INTO HIDING ALREADY?
