Pastor Jerome Fernando who is facing a CID probe following his derogatory remarks against Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism, said on a Instagram post this evening that he will return to Sri Lanka on Sunday.

He said he was presently traveling on pre scheduled official matters pertaining to the ministry.

"As you are all aware, I’m presently traveling on pre scheduled official matters pertaining to the ministry and will be back home on Sunday.

Looking forward to Sri Lanka," he said on the Instagram post.

Insulting any religion should be a crime. These new age religious individuals are all corrupt and either suck their parishes dry or paid by wealthy donors to convert other faiths. If Pastor Jerome is probed financially, it will be evident the rich life this crook leads. Asian countries are full of fools who are either duped by these religious cult or political cults. These foolish followers should only look back to the history to see the bloodied hands of these western religion converters and how they looked down upon our own ancestors and brutally treated them.

If his address was inside his church no one has power to question him. If his address was in public or open areas then it has to be condemned.

Please reveal what is that "official matter" you are travelling for. Is it PRIVATE or OFFICIAL ?? Please refrain from giving stupid serman like this, which is causing severe pain to our mind. Share your wealth with poor people.

FINALLY OUR SRILANKANS WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO FORGET ALL THE ROBBERIES COMMITED BY POLITICIANS.

He is a blessing and guiding many towards the light Wednesday, 17 May 2023 07:11 AM

He is bringing true love with enlightenment to many. Look forward to his next sermon in Sri Lanka. I was devout catholic, but the church here has strayed too far from the teaching of my Lord and Savior. I will pray for Pastor so he will be able to continue his ministry even with the government and catholic church attacks on him.

Whichever politicians were directing this drama has partially achieved their goals by getting the attention of the Buddhist majority. Hope people will figure it out sooner than later.

RANIL Master of Disaster,!! Trying to divert attention!! He's using the the trick that worked well with voters, that is to hate against religion and race, yeah!!

Catholic church jealous for losing money to Pastor Jerome Wednesday, 17 May 2023 08:16 AM

In the times of Jesus there was the established religious groups like the Pharisees. They were for absolute adherence to the old religion. Jesus was crucified for insulting the existing religion. Pastor speaking the truth as Jesus wants followers would infuriate the now established older religions here. Catholic church is loosing many followers to the Protestant churches like especially the modern ones what Pastor Jerome does. About 500 years ago the catholic church was hated Martin Luther when he pointed out they were not following even the 1st commandment. Pastor Jerome points out follies with traditional religions so society better knows their folly to donate to the established religions.

very sad to see the gullible congregation enjoying and giving a standing ovation for his foolish interpretation of the practices followed by the other religions in srilanka .

RANIL trying to score some Brownie points,!! Huh!!

    Terrence K Wednesday, 17 May 2023 08:55 AM

My question is if different things are said in Parliament even blasphemous things how come that a Pastor addressing his congregation within his precincts yearning to receive his message which predominantly is about faith in the Lord Jesus will always speak high about his religion whilst the same happens in other religions where the clergy does the same by their messages to public. So why split hairs when "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for the conviction of things not Seen. The central feature of faith is confidence or Trust . The object of faith is God and his promises., My view is like the Easter Sunday Bombing incident different politicians /rabble rousers are igniting hidden agendas and diverting the public attention from the pressing problems facing by the public in the country. A person having faith in his religion will never change unless he is convicted that the new religion has something better to offer in this LIFE and after life

Like Arjuna Mahendran who went for a wedding, with the consent of Ranil.

Dr. Kamal Bandaranayake Wednesday, 17 May 2023 10:16 AM

Believe me, nothing will happen to Pastor Jerome as he has close links with Mahinda Rajapakshe (who acts as a shadow President of SriLanka), this is the reality.

Since the arrest order is given, may be he will be arrested at the Airport itself on Sunday and bailed out within one hour as usual. Ha... Ha... Ha ...

    Sam Wednesday, 17 May 2023 10:21 AM

Religion should be strictly personal. Anybody should be free to follow what he believes. When someone preachers some follow. Why others get offended. Follow your religion and the leaders. Why get riled up by others sermons. Mind your own.

Gota had no place to hide himself in the world, but Jerome has enough places globally - no worries..

    Bandu Wednesday, 17 May 2023 10:49 AM

With gullible people like "@He is a blessing and guiding many towards the light" no wonder the Jeromes make hay and lead a cushy life like travelling on monday and coming back sunday after a good fling abroad.

Why is it we want to leave our Buddha blessed paradise and migrate to and live in Christian countries like Christian Italy, Norway , Sweden, Germany etc, UK, US, New Zealand, Australia, Canada where Christmas is the only religious holiday

Mohamed Adham Wednesday, 17 May 2023 12:02 PM

Is all this a diversionary tactic to cover up the 1500 lunch pack Coup, amidst other stupidities that we have been seeing from the Police and the government in the recent days ?????

    jothikar Wednesday, 17 May 2023 12:33 PM

Got to settle offshore accounts first, then come back fake an illness, then fake a miracle and dissapear from media, ministry whos handling him and MR are behind the scenes

European Buddhist Wednesday, 17 May 2023 12:41 PM

Sepala was imprisoned for a much smaller vituperative talk. His punishment should be more lengthy. Then his God can miraculously free him through the prison roof.

Jerome will bring tea from Australia Wednesday, 17 May 2023 06:56 PM

He'll be crucified on Sunday and will rise on Monday (metaphorically speaking). Sri Lankans deserve to be fooled as they believe in any form of religious rubbish. If they believed that Sirima will bring rice from the moon then anything is possible for this gullible set of clowns!!
