No use of making gazzett notifications and making some services essential, the rule for essential service is, the employees get additional amount of salaries and wages as these workers giving up their rights to strike, yeah.

Lol. Can issue useless gazettes like this but no gazette issue to save time and money of people. Why cannot a gazette be issued extending temporary driving license sheet for say 5 years until a card is issued. Also extend the existing expiring cards by 7 more yeara so no card has to be printed again and waste recources.

If government considers these departments are essential, then it is mandatory to appoint ministers and politicians heading those subject matters should be free of corruption and abuse. This is a very serious matter the government cannot take it easy. As people are closely concerned.

What about essential services of MPs, Ministers etc

    Terrence K Monday, 19 June 2023 08:43 AM

Government by issuing gazettes signifies its incompetence in sorting out the many Trade Union problems which gives an indication that there maybe future demonstrations, go slows, strikes etc. Voters choose governments of their choice who can handle any situation by negotiation which should be Transparent and honouring their word without promising and not accomplishing which breaches the ethics and honesty. Govt should follow the maxim' MY WORD IS MY BOND'

Most of the time when Ranil has been the PM the then governments ruled under emergency. Now although no emergency is declared, declaring essential services is also a kind of emergency rule.

Why not issue a gazette prohibiting those sentenced to jail suspended for extortion holding Ministerial office and continue to extort. Why not a gazette to put the Ganja proponent British woman behind bars for violating the Immigration ordinance and producing false documents and obtaining a Passport. Value of the gazette is if you recover the loot.
