Zahira seek revenge, Trinity look for repeat

All roads for the supporters of Trinity College and Zahira College will lead to Maradana today where the two teams will lock horns in a crucial match of the Dialog Schools Rugby League Cup Segment encounter with the kick off set for 4.15 pm.

The two teams will be meeting for the second time this season with the first being in the quarter final encounter of the knockout tournament played three months ago at the Sugathadasa Stadium where Trinity prevailed by 32 points to 23.

This time Trinity led by full back Shan Althaf who are the defending champions are looking forward to making a repeat of their previous win and Zahira led by centre Hakeem Chunchi seeking to avenge that defeat.

Trinity are hotly favoured due to the fact that they have apart from the knockout tournament have won all their matches up to now while Zahira have undergone a defeat in the round robin matches of the league tournament.

However Trinity cannot afford to take Zahira lightly as they have shown their capabilities and look like a fighting unit, not willing to give in till the final whistle is blown.
