Colombo, Mar. 8 (Daily Mirror) - Wesley College, celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year, honoured its past sports captains with a series of historic photographs recently.

The proceedings saw a gathering of close to 180 captains from nine sporting disciplines, together covering a period from the early 1950s to the present.

It commenced with an assembly presided over by the President of the Methodist Church Ebenezer Joseph, the Principal of Wesley Avanka Fernando and the President of Wesley OBU Captain Navin de Silva.

The ceremony ended with the presentation of special medals fashioned for the occasion to all captains attending, by the senior- most captains of the nine disciplines.

The evening ended with a Captains Evening at the Old Wesleyites Sports Club, at which the photograph of all captains taken earlier in the evening was distributed to the captains present.
