The final of the 2026 Indian Premier League has been switched from Bengaluru to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Organisers said the match had been switched “owing to certain requirements from the local association and authorities that were beyond the scope of BCCI’s [Board of Control for Cricket in India] established guidelines and protocols”.
The Modi Stadium, one of the largest cricket grounds in the world, held the IPL finals in 2025, 2023 and 2022.
It also held the 2023 50-over World Cup and the T20 World Cup earlier this year.
The final will be played on May 31.
