Sri Lanka U-19 set to perish early

India U-19 are in line for an early kill after play ended on day three of the second Youth Test cricket match against host Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium.

The visitors having set the host side a massive victory target of 472 runs had them in dire straits and struggling on 155 for 4. 

The morning session of play saw Sri Lanka U19 resuming their first innings from their overnight score of 122 for 8 being able to add only another 26 runs, bowled out for 148.

India though having a big lead of 263 runs opted to bat the second time and was helped by two unbeaten knock of 100 by Lakshya Raichandani and 51 by Manal Chauhan who together shared and unbroken stand of 95 runs for the fourth wicket enabling them to make a score of 208 for 3 before making a declaration.

Sri Lanka U19 are left with the daunting task of making another 317 runs to avoid an outright defeat and prevent India U19 from clinching the two match series.
