Ranasinghe has the final say

From the initial day onwards at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, Uchitha Ranasinghe and Reshan Algama held firm at the top of the leaderboard, maintaining the first two positions throughout the tournament. 

In the end, it was Ranasinghe who prevailed, clinching the National Ranking Tournament, August 2025 win with a total gross score of 226, while Algama finished second on 231.

The surprise of the tournament came from Kumar Dhanushan, who produced a superb round of two-over-par on the final day. This effort lifted him into third place with a total gross score of 232, edging out several senior contenders.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka’s top world-ranked amateur, Chalitha Pushpika one of the tournament favorites struggling to find form across all three rounds ended in the number 10 position with a total gross score of 240.

In the Ladies segment NGNSS Sumanarathna with a total score of 278 was on top. 

The Junior boys’ segment made Janeesh Weerasinghe bag a score of 160 and was placed first while in the Junior girls’ segment Sithara Lorance with a total score of 186 was on top.
