Colombo, Dec. 26 (Daily Mirror) - Oneli Samarawickrama and Savini Jayasuriya bagged two titles each at the Queens Club Tennis Championship concluded at the Queens Club tennis court in Colombo.
Oneli succeeded in winning the Girls U18 singles title and then partnered by Hesara Imihamy bagged the doubles title of the same age group while Savini Saajida Razick and Chathurya Nilaweera succeeded to win the Women’s Open and the Mixed Doubles titles.
In the junior singles events saw Ruvi Lewkebandara winning the Girls U16, Louis Knese the Boys U16 and Methwan Wijamanne the Boys U18 titles
Results: All Finals:
Singles - Girls U16 – Ruvi Lewkebandara beat Yuhansa Peiris 2-0 (6/3, 7/5). Boys U16 – Louis Knese beat Aahil Kaleel 2-0 (6/2, 7/5). Girls U18 – Oneli Samarawickrama beat Hasali Gajaba 2-0 (6/2, 6/3). Boys U18 – Methwan Wijemanne beat Ganuka Fernando 2-0 (7/5, 6/2).
Doubles – Girls U18 – Oneli Samarawickrama/Hesara Imihamy beat Hasali Gajaba/Nesangi Hemakumara 2-0 (5/3, 4/1). Women’s Open – Saajida Razick/Savini Jayasuriya beat Ruvi Lewkebandara/N. Vivekanandan 2-0 (7/6(3), 6/2). Mixed Open - Chathurya Nilaweera/Savini Jayasuriya beat Apna Perera/Inuki Jayaweera 2-0 (6/3, 7/5).
