Kandy SC grabs Marasinghe

Sri Lanka youth rugby star, Janith Marasinghe, signed up with the defending League and Knock Out Champions, Kandy Sports Club for 2025/2026 rugby season.

A robust forward Marasinghe is a product of St. Joseph’s College and wore the Sri Lanka jersey at the recent Under-20 Asian Rugby Sevens in Bihar India.

He is seen as a prized catch for the Kandy SC outfit and is expected to be among the players to watch at the next inter club season.

His elder brother Naveen is a member of rival club CR and FC and represented Sri Lanka at the World Cup Asia Zone qualifying round matches this year.
