Joes beat Petes at one-day encounter

R i s h m a A m a r a s i n g h e , the triumphant captain of St. Joseph’s College proudly receives the prestigious Rev. Fr. Peter A. Pillai Memorial Shield after his team beat traditional rivals St. Peter’s College in their 52nd 50- over cricket encounter at the SSC ground in Colombo last Saturday. The Shield was presented by Lasantha Theverapperuma, Group Chief Marketing Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC (right) in the presence of Sudantha Fernando (guest of honour), Rev Fr. Ranjith Andradi (Rector of St. Joseph’s College and Rev Fr. Indunil Sampath Kumara (Vice Rector of St. Peter’s College)
