Havelock Sports Club will open their league campaign when they go head-to-head against CR and FC at Havelock Park tomorrow.Havelock, having to settle for second place last season, with the season ending early and Kandy Sports Club emerging as the champions, will be eager to get themselves off to a good start.

Scrum-half Vimukthy Rahula is set to lead what looks to be a very familiar side from the Park Club as hooker Azmir Fajudeen is expected to start in the front row alongside Faiz Abdulla and Janidu Fernando, having consistently scored many tries in the previous seasons.

Senal Deelaka who will be the key man in the third row alongside Maleesha Madumewan with former Thomian Christian De Lile will be playing as the number eight.

Chanaka Chandimal is set to be the last line of defense for the Havies in what otherwise looks to be a very familiar backline featuring the likes of Sandesh Jayawickrama, Randy Silva and Iranga Ariyapala.

This encounter though already poised to be a battle of the forwards with CR set to field Supun Waranakulasooriya and Ashan Darling in their pack alongside Dilshan Jayah and Gayan Dilshan.

Head coach Dushantha Lewke would be keen to nullify the threat of famous Havelock rolling maul having added Wageesha Weerasinghe and Suhiru Anthony to the side.

The CR also have a very promising backline which will see the former Isipathana Captain Manelka Ruberu playing a vital role at the full-back.They also have very dangerous players in the form of Chathura Seneviratne and Gemunu Chethiya in that backline.CR may have finished seventh last season but this is a club with such huge pedigree, so Havelock cannot take them lightly at all.

CR & FC Squad:
Dilshan Jayah, Supun Warnakulasuriya, Lahiru Pavithra, Kaveen Sri Vikum, Ashan Darling, Senura Perera, Gayan Dilshan, Shehan Kelaniyagoda, Soyuru Anthony, Ravin De Silva, Imanka Ariyapala, Wageesha Weerasinghe, Eranda Harshana, Lasindu Heshan, Kavindu De Costa, Mithuna Amanath, Kalindu Nandila, Thenuka Nanayakkara, Ruchira Ekanayake, Chathura Seneviratne, Manilka Ruberu, Gemunu Chethiya, Subaih Dorai.
