Eheliyagoda and Kuruwita schools win throwball titles

Eheliyagoda Central College and Kuruwita Central College secured the championships in the Under-20 boys and girls categories at the All Island Schools Throwball Tournament 2025 in Embilipitiya.

In the Under-20 boys’ final, Eheliyagoda Central College defeated Eheliyagoda Dharmapala College to claim the title while Aligar Central College secured third place. 

In the Under-20 girls’ final Kuruwita Central College overcame Colombo Sirimavo Balika Vidyalaya to win the championship with Yahala Arawa Vidyalaya finishing third.

Meanwhile, the Under-17 boys’ title was won by Macan Markar Central College with Eheliyagoda Dharmapala College and Aligar Central College taking the runner-up and third positions, respectively. 

The Under-17 girls’ category saw Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Dompe, emerge victorious, followed by Sirimavo Balika Vidyalaya in second place and Kuruwita Central College in third.
