Cinnamon Colombo Golf makes debut at RCGC

The golfing community will gather at the historic Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) on June 26–27 for the inaugural Cinnamon Colombo Golf Classic, a prestigious new event jointly organised by Cinnamon Colombo Hotels and the RCGC.

This landmark tournament marks the first occasion that Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, and Cinnamon Red Colombo have come together under one banner to host a premier golfing event.

Hosted at one of Asia’s oldest and most respected golf clubs, the tournament aims to combine the traditions of the game with world-class hospitality. Participants will not only compete for top honours on the fairways but will also enjoy specially curated culinary experiences inspired by the signature restaurants of the four Cinnamon properties.

Captain, RCGC, Mahela Jayawardene welcomed the partnership, noting that the collaboration brings together the rich heritage of the club and the hospitality excellence of Cinnamon Colombo Hotels. He added that the event will provide a unique platform to celebrate golf while fostering friendships, partnerships, and memorable experiences.

The Cinnamon Colombo Golf Classic is expected to become a major fixture on Colombo’s sporting and social calendar, reflecting Cinnamon Colombo Hotels’ commitment to creating exceptional lifestyle experiences. 

The tournament will culminate with a gala awards ceremony recognising outstanding performances.
