Yeti SSC Open Tennis Championship: Dinara, Thehan emerge singles champions

Dinara de Silva and Thehan Wijemanne emerged champions of the Yeti SSC Tennis Championship in the Women’s and Men’s Open singles events by coming out victorious in the two finals played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday.
The two are winning the title for the second time, with Dinara in 2024 and Thehan in 2023. But they did not have it easy, being made to work hard in two hard-fought finals before brushing off the challenge of their opponents.
Dinara overcame Yuhansa Peiris, while Thehan got the better of Ganuka Fernando in thrilling encounters that went to the wire by two sets to one.
