Yeti SSC Open Tennis Championship: Biyanka, Tuvini book berth to final

Biyanka Acquisapace and Tuvini de Alwis booked the berth to the women’s doubles final of the Yeti SSC Tennis Open Championship by recording a comfortable two sets to nil over the pair of Savini Jayasriya and Hasali Gajaba in one of the two semi final encounter played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday.
Meanwhile five of the doubles pair were found in the men’s doubles event after the completion of the second round matches played at the same venue. The championship will be continued today.

Women’s Open - Biyanka Acquistapace/Tuvini de Alwis beat Savini Jayasuriya/Hasali Gajaba 2-0 (6/4, 6/3).
Men’s Second Round: 
Sanka Athukorala and Lithum Jayabandu beat Hasal Ahangama and Kevin Fernando 2-0 (6/1, 6/2). Revan Gunawardhana/Ganuka Fernando beat Shamal Dissanayake and Chehan Fernando 2-0 (6/4, 6/4). Abdul Cader/Ashlin de Silva beat Nevan Kannangara/Andrew Wijemanne 2-1 (3/6, 6/4, 10/06) 
Thehan Wijemanne/Methvan Wijemanne beat Kumar Hettiarachchi/Basita Maduka 2-0 (6/0, 6/1). Chanel Wickramasinghe/Kavish Maddumage beat Vethum Kumarage/Kumuditha Dalpathadu 2-0 (6/4, 6/2).
