The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) has announced that it is inviting applications for appointment to its Selection Committee for the period 2025–2027 and all members who serve in its Committee will have to be devoid of vested interests.

According to the SLVB, experienced individuals from the volleyball fraternity who are not currently active as players, coaches, or referees are eligible to apply for positions on the Committee. The move is aimed at ensuring an independent and knowledgeable panel to oversee player selections during the upcoming term. Applications will be accepted until July 30 and all completed forms must be sent before the deadline to the Secretary-General, Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, No. 33, Torrington Place, Colombo 07.

Officials say the new initiative reflects SLVB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and transparency in the selection of national volleyball teams while drawing upon the  expertise of respected veterans of the sport.
