Vidyartha cause havoc on first day

Vidyartha College Kandy dominated the first day’s proceedings against St John’s College Jaffna in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played in Kandy yesterday.

A six wicket haul by Hansaja Jayawickrama sent the Johnians reeling for a low score of 96 before Hansika Dissanayake missed a century by just two runs as Vidyartha replied with 333 for 7.

The match will be continued today.
