Vaas to coach Emerging Team for SA tour

Former national fast-bowling coach Chaminda Vaas has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Emerging Team ahead of its tour to South Africa, Sri Lanka Cricket said yesterday. 
Vaas replaces Avishka Gunawardene, who was suspended pending inquiry after the International Cricket Council charged him with two counts of corruption last week. 
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Under 19 Tour of Sri Lanka will begin on May 23, SLC also announced yesterday.  They will play five Youth ODIs at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota.
