Under 23 Emerging Club Final Anjala, Inuka put CCC on top

Skipper Anjala Bandara and Inuka Karannagoda came to the rescue of CCC against Bloomfield on day one of the Under 23 two day cricket tournament final played at the SSC ground yesterday.

CCC invited to take first lease of the wicket was made to work hard for their runs and was struggling on 117 for 5 when the pair came to the rescue of the side.

Bandara remained unbeaten on 115 with 15 boundaries while Inuka made 56 with five boundaries and a six and the two were associated in a valuable 160 runs stand for the sixth for CCC to end the day on 278 for 6. The match will be continued today.
