Under 19 Cricket Mahith, Ashen steer S. Thomas’ to victory

An unbeaten knock of 73 in 53 balls inclusive of four boundaries and half a dozen sixes by skipper Mahith Perera and a four wicket haul by Ashen Perera paved the way for S. Thomas’ College to record a comfortable 77 runs win on the Parabola method against Mahanama College, Colombo in the Under 19 inter-schools limited over tournament match played at Mt Lavinia.  
Perera’s knock helped the Thomians taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 248 for 6 and Ashen’s four supported by Kavindu Dias enabled the, Mt. Lavinia boys to restrict Mahanama to a score of 142 for 7 when rain put a stoppage to proceedings.  
In the other matches that were played saw Richmond, Zahira Colombo, Ananda Colombo, Mahinda Galle, Piliyandala Central and Rahula College Matara winning their matches.
