The second day’s proceedings of the Under 19 Division One Tier ‘A’ inter-school cricket final had St Sebastian’s College too crawl as did Royal College on the opening day when the match resumed at the P Sara Stadium yesterday. Though the Sebs were given a good start of 50 runs by openers Kaveesha Perera and Lashen Fernando they fell back in the latter stages of the innings and collapsed to 169 for 8 before managing to make the identical score of 201 runs made by Royal which took them 97.5 overs. It took Royal 87.3 overs to make their 201.

Royal batting the second time facing seven overs ended the day on 14 for 0 and with either team not gaining a first inning lead an outright win is out of sight on the final day today unless something dramatic takes place.
Scores:

Royal 201 (Thanul Ampemohotti 31, Isulu Geeganage 29, Sehandu Sooriyaarachchi 20, Dushen Udawela 46 n.o.: Malintha Silva 4/37, Ryan Dissanayake 4/62, Shenas Hashein 2/37) and 14 for 0

St Sebastian’s Moratuwa (20/0 overnight) 201 (Kaveesha Perera 56, Sonal Almeida 25, Lashen Fernando 22, Ryan Dissanayake 47 n.o.: Sandul Abeywardena 5/78, Dushen Udawela 3/57)
