St Sebastian’s Katuneriya stun Maliyadeva

St Sebastian’s College Katuneriya recorded a stunning outright win by two wickets over fancied Maliyadeva College Kurunegala in their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter at Katuneriya yesterday.

St Sebastian’s came back after conceding a first inning lead to the Devans.

The win came on the back of an all-round performance by Matheesha Sithum who bagged six scalps to bundle the Devans out for a score of 100 and cracked an unbeaten knock of 66 to guide them to their winning target.

In two other outright wins that were recorded St Xavier’s College Marawila and Rajasinghe Central defeated Gamini NS Bentota and Sri Pangnananda MMV Raddoluwa at Chilaw and Hanwella.
