Sri Lanka hockey coach JAN Perera no more

Veteran Sri Lanka hockey coach JAN Perera has passed away at the age of 78 and his remains now lie at the Jayaratne Funeral Parlour.

His funeral will take place at 5 pm today at the General Cemetery in Borella.

A product of St. Peter’s College, JAN Perera was a father figure in the schools arena and coached many girls’ and boys’ schools with success before moving on to take charge of the Sri Lanka team.
