Sri Lanka vs Maldives match action

Sri Lanka recorded an easy 3-0 victory over Maldives in the Classification Round of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s Championship 2026 match played yesterday (26).
Sri Lanka won the encounter comfortably with set scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-13.
This was Sri Lanka’s second victory of the tournament.
The CAVA Women’s Championship, organised by CAVA, is being held from May 22 to 29 in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the participation of eight countries, including Sri Lanka.
Earlier in the preliminary round, Sri Lanka managed only one win from three matches, defeating Bangladesh 3-0, while suffering defeats against Kazakhstan and Iran.
At the end of the preliminary round, India topped Pool ‘A’ with an unbeaten 3-0 record and eight points, followed by Nepal with two wins and one loss. Kyrgyzstan finished third while Maldives ended fourth without a win.
In Pool ‘B’, Iran finished on top with a perfect 3-0 record and nine points, while Kazakhstan secured second place with two wins and one defeat. Sri Lanka finished third with one win and two defeats, while Bangladesh remained winless.
India, Iran, Nepal and Kazakhstan have qualified for the semi-finals scheduled for May 28. India will meet Kazakhstan at 2.30 p.m., while Iran will take on hosts Nepal at 5.00 p.m.
The bronze medal match and final are scheduled to be played on May 29.
