Sri Lanka ‘A’ triumph by 308 runs

Sri Lanka ‘A’ defeated Afghanistan ‘A’ by a massive 308 runs in the only Unofficial Test match, which concluded at the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE yesterday.

Afghanistan ‘A’ chasing a daunting victory target of 615 runs were bowled out for 306 shortly before stumps despite a fine century from Skipper Darwish Rasooli, who added 168 for the fourth wicket with Afzar Zazai.

But after their departure, Sri Lanka ‘A’ took control of the proceedings and ran through the innings with Isitha Wijesundara claiming a matchbag of 10 wickets.
