Smashing Sethuli bags second title

Under-12 doubles champions Sethuli Mutugama and Samaira Fernando in action

Sethuli Mutugama having clinched the girls’ Under-12 singles title bagged her second trophy at the 111th National Tennis Championship partnered by Samaira Fernando as they defeated the pair of Rehansa Ranasinghe/Sayuri Mututhanthri by two sets to nil in the doubles final played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
The singles of the women’s Open and girls’ Under-16 which were worked off concurrently made Vinethya Dharmaratne, Taniya Doloswala and Venuli Jayasinghe win their second round matches while Venuli Jayasinghe, Akesha Silva and Sandithi Usgogaarachchi succeeded in their third round matches. The championship will be continued today.
