SSC Open Tennis Championship: Dhilvan, Apna, Dumindu, Chehan enter doubles finals

The completion of the men’s open doubles semi finals of the of the CL Synergy SSC Open Tennis Championship played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo saw the pairs of Dhilvan Herath/Apna Perera and Dumnidu Dilum/Chehan Fernando coming out victorious to advance to the final.

Dhilvan and Apna overcame Methika Wickramasinghe/Rehan Gunasekera while Dumindu and Chehan got the better of Beeshwaran Balaratnarajah/Jagath Gamage by the identical winning margins of two sets to nil.

Meanwhile in the girls under 12 singles semi final encounters Sethuki Muthugama and Samaira Fernando coasted to easy two sets to nil win against Sayuri Muthuthanthri and Talia Silva to book the berths to the final. The two finals are scheduled to be played today.

Men’s Open – Dhilvan Herath/Apna Perera beat Methika Wickramasinghe/Rehan Gunasekera 2-0 (6/0, 6/2), Dumindu Dilum/Chehan Fernando beat Beeshwaran Balaratnarajah/Jagath Gamage 2-0 (6/3, 6/3).

Singles:
Girls Under 12 – Sethuki Muthugama beat Sayuri Muthuthanthri 2-0 (6/2, 6/2), Samaira Fernando beat Talia Silva 2-0 (6/0, 6/2).
