SSC Open Tennis Championship: Akeesha and Ashlin clinch U16 singles title

Akeesh Silva and Ashlin de Silva clinched the Girl’s and Boy’s Under-16 singles titles of the CL Synergy SSC Open Championship by defeating Sandis Usgodaarachchi and Mayoran Kubheran in the two finals played at the SSC tennis courts yesterday.

The two won their matches with ease by two sets to nil. It was Akeesha’s second title of the championship having earlier won the women’s singles title.

Girls Under 16 – Akeesha Silva beat Sanditi Usgodaarachchi  2-0 (7/5, 6/2).
Boys Under 16 – Ashlin de Silva beat Mayoran Kubheran 2-0 (6/1, 7/5)
