SLG National Ranking Tournament in Rajawella Reshan stamps his class

Reshan Algama was consistent on all four days

Reshan Algama proved his class yet again by clinching the top spot at the National Ranking Tournament which concluded after four days of exciting golf at Rajawella yesterday.

He displayed remarkable consistency over four days, carding 71, 73, 71, and 73 to finish with an impressive total of 288. His steady performance under testing conditions shows his growing maturity and composure in managing both the course and the pressure.

Haroon  Aslam now based in USA playing on his home course made a remarkable comeback from day two to take the runner-up position carding 75, 76, 69, and 73 for a total of 293, just five strokes behind the winner. His third-day 69 was the lowest round among the leaders and kept the competition alive going into the final day.

Kumar Dhanushan secured third place with a total score of 298 after carding 76, 70, 76, and 76 across the four rounds.

Danushan’s second-day 70 showed his fighting spirit, but a few wayward shots on the final day kept him from closing the gap further.

Meanwhile experienced Chalitha Pushpika returning after injury ended tied sixth place with Priya Hemantha.

In the junior event which took place for two days, Kian Niyarepola won the Boy’s segment with an aggregate of 164 closely followed by Thejas Rathiskanth who ended on 165. Meanwhile the Girl’s event was won by Sithara Lorance with a total score of 183 while Genuli Wijekoon ended second on 194.
