Randul, Shiral steer Galle U19 Zone 3 to victory

Randul Samarahewa and Shiral Dhananjaya cracked half tons to help Galle U19 Zone 3 to record a three wicket win over Galle U19 Zone 1 to begin the SLC U19 Provincial Youth League limited over tournament on a winning note in the match played at Karandeniya. The pair shared a valuable opening wicket stand of 148 runs for Galle U19 Zone 3 in pursuit of 178 runs for victory to race to the target in the 47th over.  
Ampara U19 too began their campaign on a winning note with a comfortable five wicket win over Trincomalee U19 in the match played at Polonnaruwa. Ampara U19 was helped by two partnerships, first an opening wicket stand of 71 runs between Wumeh Nimhara and Mohamed Shafeek and the other an unbroken 70 runs stand for the sixth wicket between Thilina Poornima and R.M. Rizni which helped them to reach the target of 191 in the 47th over.
