National Schools Rugby Sevens 2023 D. S. Senanayake College emerge champions

DSS Champions at National Youth Games in Kurunegala

D. S. Senanayake College emerged as the All Island Rugby Sevens champions at the National Schools Sevens 2023 which took place in Kurunegala recently.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Education, and in the final, they beat Zahira College, Colombo 28-05.  D. S. Senanayake beat Dharmaraja College in the first semi-final while Zahira College beat Maliyadeva College in the second semi-final.
Jayathu Rajarathna led the D. S. Senanayake outfit with Asela Deshapriya being the Head Coach, Azmeer Fajudeen acting as the Assistant Coach with of the outfit.  The backs’ skill development coach was Dinesh de Silva.
