NTB Golf to tee-off on May 24

Nations Trust Bank PLC is set to host their annual Golf Championship on May 24 at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC).  

There will be two starting times with the first one at 7.00 a.m. and the second tee scheduled at 1.30 p.m. More than 230 golfers are set to compete in the NTB sponsored golf tournament.  

Meanwhile Junior Golf will tee off on May 23 from the afternoon session at 1.00 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place on May 24 at 7.00 p.m. at RCGC club house.  

Participants will compete in various categories. The longest drive will be at the 8th hole while Closest to the Pin at 13th hole adding more competition among the golfers.  

NTB, Executive Vice-President of Consumer Banking, Sheehan Daniel said: “This championship is more than a game; it’s a cherished opportunity to connect with our customers through a shared passion. We are excited to host this much looked forward event.”  

RCGC Captain Gehan Siribaddana echoed the sentiment, calling it a highlight on the club’s annual calendar and wanted to extend the partnership with NTB beyond 2028 when the RCGC celebrates its 150th year.
