Manchester Academy wins Youth Football titles

Manchester Academy won both the Under-14 and Under-16 titles in the Sri Lanka Football Federation President’s Cup Youth Football Tournament.

The Under-14 team defeated Barcelona 1-0 in the final played at the Racecourse Grounds in Colombo while the Manchester Academy team defeated Saunders 4-0 in the Under-16 tournament final.

Meanwhile, the Best Player Under-14 Award was won by Osman Saleh of the Manchester Academy Team, the Best Goal-keeper Award was won by Dhanasree Gunawardena of the Barcelona Academy Team and the Highest Goal Scorer Award was won by Osman Saleh of the Manchester Academy Team.

Meanwhile, the Best Player Award in the Under-16 category went to Mohamed Aman of the Manchester Academy Team, the Best Goal-keeper Award went to Mohamed Asfaq of the Manchester Academy Team and the Highest Goal Scorer Award went to Mohamed Ishaad of the Manchester Academy Team.

The winners of this tournament received Rs. 100,000 and the runners-up received Rs. 50,000. The tournament was organised by the Manchester Football Academy.
